I recently had the opportunity to work on an app that presented some challenges in terms of design. Multiple user types needed to be considered, and the agency that had initially started work on the project produced incomplete solutions. As a result, I was brought in to help patch and refine the overall experience for each end user and develop components that would work seamlessly.
To provide a consistently positive user experience, I took their existing brand elements and crafted an essential guide that would be our foundation in designing anything for this app. From typography to colors to iconography, we had all the components necessary to build out those library systems that give users such great experiences!
When I was first approached about this project, I was told that three different user types needed to be considered: brokers, agents, and clients. To elevate the overall experience for the users, I knew that I needed to focus on two key areas: a consistent design system and refining the user flow. Developing a seamless design system was vital because it would help ensure that users would have a positive experience regardless of user type. Refining the user flow was also crucial because it would allow users to navigate the app easily.
Enhancing the navigation path was essential for users to explore the app easily. Making it as straightforward a journey as possible over various screens and interactions.
I successfully created a design system and refined the user flow for this project. The result was an app that felt cohesive and easy to use. Working on this project was a great experience, and I'm proud of the final product.
No matter the project size, there is always a team behind the overall success or failure of the project.This team was made up of the following;
